As Vice President of Brand Strategy and Business Development at Seltzer Licensing Group, Ricardo or Ricky, is responsible for various aspects of the agency’s growth; overseeing account management, engaging in business development, and spearheading the implementation of strategic licensing plans for a broad range of brands.
Since joining the company in 2011, Ricky has played an integral role in the advancement of Unilever Ice Cream’s licensing initiatives domestically and globally. He led the development and launch of several strategic brand extensions, including among them award winning Klondike Chocolate Candies. With his background as a Trademark and Copyright attorney he is instrumental in overseeing every key phase of development, from concept to contract. Ricky has also served as the lead on the Scotts Miracle-Gro licensing program since its inception. He is responsible for having secured major licensees in all key lawn and garden categories.
Prior to joining Seltzer Licensing Group, Ricky sharpened his skills in licensing while at Condé Nast Publications where he drafted and negotiated licensing agreements for their large portfolio of titles. Before Condé Nast, Ricky was deeply rooted within various entertainment industries. This background continues to be relevant in his current work at Seltzer.
Ricky is a George Washington University alum and graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law from which he graduated with a concentration in Intellectual Property. He is fluent in Spanish and is currently a member of the New York, New Jersey and Florida bars and continues to be actively involved in the licensing industry.Back
